Fearless has won a prime contract to help build Maryland's Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) program. This initiative will serve 2.5 million workers and 180,000 employers across the state. Our team will work alongside the state to help create the digital infrastructure for this essential social insurance program.

For this project, we’ve created a coalition of Maryland-based companies that includes Mechanicode, BlueCord, and the non-profit Maryland Family Network. We’ll also work in partnership with Nava.

At Fearless, we modernize state services, making them more streamlined and secure while enabling ease of use for a better user experience. We’re excited to play a part in doing that for our own State.

Building a program that works for Marylanders.

More than 1 in 5 Americans serve as caregivers, but nearly 80% of workers lack access to paid family leave. We're supporting Maryland's efforts to change that reality for families across the state.

As a Maryland-based business, we also bring a wealth of community partners to support user research needs.

"This project hits close to home," says John Foster, Chief Growth Officer at Fearless. "We're Marylanders building solutions for Marylanders. This work is about easing the burden on families during challenging times and ensuring everyone has access to the support they need. We're proud to partner with the Maryland Department of Labor to make a real difference in the lives of people across our state."

The lack of comprehensive paid family and medical leave options has left many people in the workforce facing difficult choices between their health, their loved ones, and their financial stability.

Maryland recognized this issue and has tasked MDOL with implementing a new paid family and medical leave program for the state.

By providing wage replacement to eligible individuals, Maryland is ensuring they can take the time they need to care for themselves or their families without jeopardizing their financial well-being.

Ensuring this program works for all Marylanders requires digital services that are usable and designed to meet the needs of all FAMLI program users.

Building FAMLI together.

“Rewarding work comes from seeing its positive outcomes,” says Tiffany Jackson, a Fearless Senior Program Manager. “Being directly involved in this work, it has become my team's passion to simplify access to relevant information and services for all users. Maryland is my home, and it’s my pleasure to provide any and all services to support this commitment and serve the community.”

We'll work to build digital services that support Marylanders through life's unexpected challenges.
